We are keen to get members engagement on developing the vision for this service and hear your view about how we could continue to integrate physical and mental health service and bring this closer to primary care practice. We would also be interested in any practice or Cluster of Practices who would collaborating with us around service delivery.

As you will be aware the CCG are tendering the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service. They are intending to tender two separate contracts.

The adult IAPT service proposed would likely adopt referral criteria more in line with the national set up (treating straightforward anxiety and depression, but holding more closely to referral criteria that will exclude more complex patients i.e. treatment resistant cases, those who need longer therapies, or have complex comorbidities). These patients would access support through the Practitioner service.

They have also outlined a vision for expanding the current Practitioner Service to become an ageless pathway. This service would include support for more complex adult patients, the current employment / work and learning / peer support input and would also expand to include children of all ages with a similar remit to the current practitioner team – providing initial assessments, generic mental health support and signposting, short term intervention work.

We are seeking your input into our vision as a tender response and your appetite for collaboration in service delivery, as well as your thoughts and creativity on the issues outlined above.
